Towards small-scale artificial collectives

How can we build small robotic swarms that sense, decide, and act collectively with minimal resources?

We develop small-scale robot swarms that autonomously explore challenging environments — designing robots that perceive and act with limited resources, coordinate for collective behaviors, and probe fundamental questions in actuation, power, fluid mechanics, and collective intelligence. Our work sits at the intersection of swarm robotics and microsystems, with the goal of expanding how we sense, understand, and interact with the world at fine scales.
